Second & fourth rows:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
‘Praise be to God.’
Circular:
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ
‘There is none worthy of worship except God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God.’
Fifth row:
اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ
‘God is the Light of the heavens and the earth.’ Holy Qur’an [24:35].
Physical Description
Hangable Chinese scroll with lower wooden cylindrical bar. Calligraphed with Sini script using Chinese black ink on traditional xuan paper (宣紙 /rice paper), surrounded with white silk-based brocade.
